Aravali is proud to bring you this exclusive made-to-order collection from the national award-winning master. The masterpiece depicts Basant Utsav as spring comes into full bloom. It also commemorates the love Lord Krishna had for Radha and the Gopis in Vrindavan by playing colours with them. This painting displays the fine details and ornate borders that are the signature of the master Pattachitra artist.
Odisha Pattachitra is GI-certified by the Government of India. However, there is a rise in imitation Pattachitra, which is not only of inferior quality but also adversely affects the artists who practise the art form sincerely. To bring the best Pattachitra to our patrons, Aravali has partnered with the best Pattachitra artists in India. Our Aravali team is working with Bijay Kumar Parida, Shilp Guru (2018), and a National Award-winning artist from Odisha with decades of experience in perfecting Pattachitra art.

Artist: Bijay Kumar Parida
Mr Bijay Kumar Parida has been awarded the Shilpa Guru award by the Government of India, among many other State awards. There are only a few artists in India who keep the ancient art form alive. He is one of those legendary artists. He paints scenes from Ramayana, Mahabharata and ancient Indian history, using natural colours on Tussar Silk. The intricate borders and soulful art is one of the finest in India when it comes to the Odisha style of Pattachitra.
