Bronze Muralidhar is an intricately carved Krishna idol that is a hallmark of Karnataka bronze art. There is an age-old tradition of bronze casting in this southern state of India. This art is displayed in temples and speaks volumes about the artists' creativity. In the south of India, bronze is believed to exude the energy of the divine, which is why idols are made from it. The bronze pieces are handcrafted, take 3–4 weeks to complete, and are made through the traditional lost wax method, which is known as cire perdue. This art form is GI certified by the Government of India.
According to Indian mythology, Muralidhar, or Krishna, is Lord Vishnu's eighth incarnation. The flute of Krishna represents Pranava. It was this flute that attracted the devoted Gopis in Braja to meet their beloved Lord. Muralidhar is synonymous with eternity and austerity, as well as completeness and harmony. The sculpture radiates a calm and positive energy that will bring you happiness in your home and in the world around you. The sculpture comes with a complimentary wooden mounting.

Brass and Bronze have a natural tendency to patinate as it ages. The patina gives the art object a distinct character. The patina can be removed, to some extent, by gently cleaning the object with a solution of tamarind water and a pinch of salt. This usually removes the patina.
